CPR AND FIRST AID TRAINING COURSES
VAA offers comprehensive American Heart Association (AHA) certified training programs including CPR and First Aid for the general public, health care professionals, community groups, sports teams and businesses of all sizes.
The AHA courses include:
Health Care Provider CPR
Heartsaver CPR / AED
First Aid
All courses offer a two (2) year certification from the AHA.
Courses may be conducted at VAA Headquarters; a local business or residence or other community locations

Public Courses: VAA offers public CPR (including AED) and First Aid training on a "as needed" basis at its headquarters located at 3550 University Blvd. Moon Twp., PA 15108.
Students must first successfully complete an on-line AHA training program (~2-3 hours). The AHA online training website can be accessed by clicking here. Proof of successful completion of the AHA course must be presented to VAA.
The second part of the course consists of a hands-on skill session held at VAA Headquarters (~1 - 2 hours)
VAA will issue a valid AHA certification within 48 hours (or less) after successful completion of all course requirements

VAA welcomes the opportunity to provide CPR, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogen training courses to corporate, community or other interested groups.
VAA prefers to offer group training courses at the VAA Headquarters Building. However, training courses may also be scheduled onsite at corporate, community or other requested locations.
No advance, on-line training is required for group training classes. Education including lecture and skill trainings are provided on-site.
Each student in the group also receives an AHA required course manual.

Pre-registration and a deposit is mandatory for all scheduled classes. VAA must receive your registration and a deposit - at least one week before the scheduled course date.
Enrollment may be limited and classes are filled in the order in which applications are received. Reservations by telephone are not accepted.
Acceptable Forms of Payment:
VAA accepts checks, money order or credit cards as forms of payment for classes. We accept Visa, Master Card, AMEX and Discover cards.
VAA does not accept cash as a method of payment for training classes.
Refunds:
If you are unable to attend a class for which you have pre-registered, you are required to cancel no less than 48 hours, in advance, of the starting time of the class.
Refund requests should be made in writing or via email to Deputy Chief Michael Fashian at [email protected]
Refunds, if approved, will consist of the course fee which was paid to VAA (not the AHA portion) minus a $5.00 deduction for administrative fees.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after the aforementioned deadline or for failure to attend the course.
In the event of course cancellation by VAA, participants will receive a full refund of the course fees but not the AHA portion.
