BLS for Healthcare Providers - Course length: approximately 2 hours

The BLS for Healthcare Providers course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals with the skills to keep people alive until they can be brought to the hospital or be treated with more advanced lifesaving measures.

This course covers:
  • adult and pediatric CPR
  • two rescuer scenarios
  • foreign-body airway obstruction
  • automated external defibrillation(AED)
  • bag-valve mask (BVM) ventilations
  • special resuscitation situations


Heartsaver First Aid - Course length: approximately 2 hours

The Heartsaver First Aid course provides first responders with the training in basic first aid procedures, including the first aid skills recommended by OSHA.

The course covers:
  • first aid basics
  • medical emergencies
  • injury emergencies
  • environmental emergencies

Heartsaver CPR AED - Course length: approximately 2 hours

The Heartsaver CPR/AED course combines basic CPR skills training with instruction and practice in the use of an AED.

The course covers:
  • adult CPR AED with and without a mask
  • adult / child and infant choking 
  • child CPR AED 
  • infant CPR

Bloodborne Pathogens - Course length: approximately 1 hour

The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogen training.  The course uses a PACT acronym and slogan to help students learn and retain what to do when there is danger of or has been an exposure to bloodborne in the workplace.  Course me be conducted as a stand-alone course or in conjunction with first aid or CPR training.

This course covers:
  • what bloodborne pathogens are and how they are spread
  • how to protect oneself from exposure
  • how to clean oneself and the area exposed
